stunningly beautiful sounding record. sounds amazing on vinyl. 10/10 words words
I couldn't disagree more with the previous comment - This Is Far From A Stinker!!!! Actually, God is among Sault's most concentrated and accomplished works. If you have issues with artists expressing their faith, then this might not be for you. But if that's not a problem, and you're a soul music enthusiast who appreciates profound and thoughtful approaches to music, then you'll find plenty to enjoy (and even love) on this latest release from the Sault Collective. There's genuine depth, musicality, and sincerity here. It definitely echoes back to 70's indie soul music, but with a more stripped-down approach and updated with contemporary lo-fi production. I have the vinyl version and it's overall very well done - excellent mastering, detailed sound. The vinyl press could be a tad quieter but it doesn't distract from the music. One of the best of the year.
