Product description

Medeski Martin & Wood's "Uninvisible" is a vibrant and dynamic journey into the world of jazz fusion, blending the best elements of jazz funk, acid jazz, and jam band styles. Released in 2002 under Blue Note Records, this seventh studio album captures the essence of the trio's live performances, offering a rich tapestry of grooves and improvisations. The album features the trio's core members—John Medeski on keyboards, Billy Martin on drums, and Chris Wood on bass—alongside a number of guest musicians, adding depth and variety to the sound.

  • Bass-Powered Rich Groove

    5 out of 5 stars

Wow, the BASS on this record is POWERFUL. It's way warmer than I anticipated. I'd love to compare it with the VMP version. A few tracks even seem almost mono, like the bass, drums, and organ are all centered. Has anyone picked up on that?Overall, it sounds fantastic and RICH. The stereo separation is a bit odd but actually fits the album's heavy groove. Quick side note - their live show is one of the best I've ever seen. I can't recall another band with that kind of onstage chemistry. When they're in the zone live, it's an incredible experience!
