Product description

Ace Frehley, the legendary guitarist and original member of KISS, delivers a high-energy glam metal experience with his 1989 album "Trouble Walkin'." This is the fourth solo album from Frehley, who continues to prove his prowess as a rock icon with this collection of ten electrifying tracks. The album features a standout collaboration with former KISS drummer Peter Criss, adding a touch of nostalgia and familiarity for longtime fans.

"Trouble Walkin'" kicks off with the title track, setting the tone for a raw and powerful journey through the world of glam metal. The album showcases Frehley's signature guitar work, blending catchy riffs with soaring solos that define his unique style. Tracks like "Shot Full of Rock" and "Do Ya" are instant crowd-pleasers, while "Five Card Stud" and "Lost in Limbo" offer a glimpse into Frehley's songwriting depth.

Produced by the renowned Eddie Kramer, known for his work with Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, the album benefits from a polished yet gritty sound that captures the essence of the late '80s glam metal scene. The production quality is top-notch, ensuring that every guitar lick, drum beat, and vocal line shines through.

With a runtime of just over 44 minutes, "Trouble Walkin'" is a concise yet impactful album that doesn't waste a single moment. Whether you're a die-hard KISS fan or a newcomer to Ace Frehley's solo work, this album offers a thrilling ride through the world of glam metal. From the rebellious spirit of "2 Young 2 Die" to the reflective tones of "Remember Me," Frehley's versatility as an artist is on full display.

Released on October 13, 1989, under the label Rhino Atlantic, "Trouble Walkin'" remains a testament to Ace Frehley's enduring influence in the rock and metal genres. It's a must-listen for anyone looking to experience the raw energy and creativity of one of rock's most iconic guitarists.

  • Incredible Pressing, Worth It

    5 out of 5 stars
    riteimJanuary 18, 2025United States🇺🇸

Wow, this pressing is INCREDIBLE! eOne has truly upped their game since that Spaceman vinyl came out. The details just jump out at you, and the sound is so vibrant. Apart from the cost, it's flawless, and honestly, it's worth every single cent!

  • Ace Frehley's Club Pressing

    4 out of 5 stars
    eoniceDecember 1, 2024United States🇺🇸

Sides A and B were completely silent. However, Sides C and D were a tad too poppy and had some hiss now and then. All in all, it sounds fantastic. My initial club pressing sounds even better and only needs a single flip. The color looks awesome on the turntable and it spins at 45 rpm. Overall, a fantastic addition for any Ace Frehley and Kiss fan's collection.

  • Ace's Fantastic Album

    5 out of 5 stars
    BzaifvcaaqiqJanuary 29, 2024United States🇺🇸

This album is absolutely fantastic! Ace is truly one of the greatest musicians ever, and I'm in love with how this whole thing turned out. The track “Do ya” is a standout for me, and even though it's a cover, Ace's take on it is still freakin' awesome!

  • Unnecessary Double Album

    4 out of 5 stars
    mibxjobJanuary 22, 2024United States🇺🇸

Why does this album need to be a double record? The original 1989 album was just ONE record with TEN tracks. In this RSD Edition, Side Two and Side Four only have 2 songs each! Side Two has a mere 8:43 of music! EOne music (and some other labels) always do this junk. They drag out a single album into a double album just to hike up the price! It's frustrating to listen to, because every 8 to 10 mintues you have to get up and flip the record. Over and over and over again. What's next? Release Ace's 1978 solo album (which only had 9 songs) on 9 records!
