The pressing is spotless, it's incredibly quiet and a joy to listen to. Most of the songs on here are truly fantastic. I've always wondered why so many Brice tracks were left off the official albums. The guy's a genius, particularly his work up until '88.
On a scale of 1 to 5, here's my take: music (personal taste) / sound quality / vinyl pressing: 5/4.5/5
I've been waiting forever for this reissue, especially with those crazy Discogs prices for the originals! Absolutely worth the wait, though. This pressing is fantastic - crystal clear and sounds amazing. Those originals can stay where they are!
An amazing essential for any Boss enthusiast who loves the pre-The Rising era. I'd rank it right alongside the The Promise compilation. The Nebraska take on Born in the USA is incredible.
Honestly, the main reason I purchased this was for The Promise version. All the other tracks were just an added perk for me. But, it ended up being a pleasant surprise. The audio quality is top-notch - crisp and distinct. The separation between Springsteen's voice and the backup vocals is superb - listen to The Fever to hear what I mean. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
