This album is fantastic, and this edition is top-notch. I'm no pro, but I reckon it sounds amazing. The instruments are perfectly balanced, and the soundstage is quite wide. The record is flawless, no crackling at all. I'm really happy I purchased it. It was definitely worth my money.
While the 5.1 mix on this disc is really good, I can't stop wondering how much more impressive it could've been as an SACD or high-res DVD-A.
For me, this is Springsteen's finest album. The lyrics and performances are absolutely breathtaking. The sound is so warm and full. Just played my original copy after some time…it's gorgeous.
In my opinion, this album is fantastic. The Devils & Dust tour was the last occasion I had the chance to see Springsteen perform live, so this record holds a special significance for me from that time. The quality of this pressing is good, but I can't really notice any difference compared to the CD version. I would have preferred if it came with a gatefold jacket. Just a heads up, there's a code included to get the mp3 version of the album.
