Product description

"To Whom It May Concern" is the tenth studio album by the legendary Bee Gees, released in October 1972. Following the success of their previous album "Trafalgar" and an accompanying American tour, the Bee Gees continue to explore a melancholic and deeply personal sound with this captivating collection of tracks. Clocking in at just over 43 minutes, the album is a seamless blend of introspective lyrics and the Bee Gees' signature harmonies, all wrapped up in a disco-infused package that was ahead of its time.

The album opens with the upbeat "Run To Me," a track that would go on to become a top ten hit, showcasing the Bee Gees' knack for crafting catchy, radio-friendly tunes. From there, the album delves into a mix of reflective ballads and danceable numbers, with standout tracks like "We Lost The Road," "Never Been Alone," and "Please Don't Turn Out The Lights" highlighting the band's versatility and depth. The album also features the whimsical "Paper Mache, Cabbages & Kings" and the dreamy "Sea Of Smiling Faces," both of which showcase the Bee Gees' unique songwriting prowess.

"To Whom It May Concern" is a testament to the Bee Gees' enduring appeal and their ability to evolve with the times. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to their music, this album is sure to captivate and enchant. So, sit back, press play, and let the Bee Gees take you on a journey through the highs and lows of life, love, and everything in between.

This is a 1981 Reissue released as a LP.

This is an amazingly great pressing, the Bee Gees have made a fantastic record here.

  • Trafalgar Successor Shines

    4 out of 5 stars

FOR WHOEVER THIS MAY INTEREST, the successor to TRAFALGAR, is quite akin in style. Standout tracks are "Run To Me", "Paper Mache, Cabbages & Kings", "Sea Of Smiling Faces", and "Alive". This record sounds quite decent, boasting a good range and a wide, multi-layered soundstage. My copy plays smoothly with some minor surface noise at the start of each side.
