This LP sounds terrible. I swapped it for a signed black 2020 pressing, which sounds perfect.
Expected delivery on the 7th, but I'm yet to receive a confirmation email. Has anyone else faced this problem?EDIT: Received my order today. Sadly, all three discs have some sort of flaw. The first one has deep scratches that seem too straight to be mere inner sleeve scuffs. The second disc has a large unfilled bevel right in the middle of track D2, and the third, which is the least damaged of the three, has a black spot where the black vinyl plug must have cooled improperly with the red additive.How could this happen at RTI of all places??? Even GZ had a better first impression than this pressing. Hoping it doesn't sound as bad as it looks.2ND EDIT: Just played it and...wow. It's even worse than I anticipated. All three discs are off-center, and the first disc has an edge warp. Literally half of the record sides produce a velcro-tearing noise that's audible almost throughout the entire playback. I'm doing my best to stay calm about this pressing, but I'm not even sure if "incredibly disappointing" is enough to describe how I feel. It's like my copy was made to push the limits of my turntable. 3RD EDIT: Got my replacement copy in the mail and, predictably, it has the same severe unfixable non-fill on all three discs (plus, the bevel is in the exact same spot on the second disc). I managed to get a refund but I'm still very let down. Just terrible quality control with this pressing.
This album is truly one of the greatest ever created. It challenges and repays your patience...and when this current lineup eventually parts ways, it'll be a truly somber occasion.
Excellent pressing, the records were a bit grimy, but even without a wet clean, they sounded close to flawless. My copy didn't come with a poster though.
