About Hans Tammen

Hans Tammen is a pioneering experimental guitarist and composer, originally from Germany, now based in Brooklyn, New York. Known for his innovative and radical approach to the guitar, Tammen's performances are a thrilling exploration of sound, often involving a wide array of mechanical preparations on his instrument. His style, which he terms "endangered guitar," pushes the boundaries of what the guitar can do, creating a unique and captivating sonic experience.
