Incredible! This pressing is absolutely amazing. The sound is pure, crisp, and full of power. Plus, the album is a non-stop thrill ride from beginning to end.
Echoing others' thoughts: a top-notch, crisply produced, high-quality pressing. Reasonably priced. But more significantly, the music is rather outstanding for a later-stage Yes album. It's an improvement over Magnification, which followed it.
A buddy gifted me this for my birthday. Yes's album is absolutely brilliant, and it comes in a gorgeous gatefold sleeve. The vinyl pressing is top-notch! Even though I always give new albums a clean, you'll be blown away by the pressing plant's incredible attention to detail and quality!
I'm currently spinning the first LP, and I must say, it's pretty impressive! Considering the budget-friendly price of this release, I'm sure the tracks are sourced digitally, but hey, it still sounds great. There's hardly any surface noise and barely any debris on the records, which I wasn't expecting given the thin, cardstock-like lyric inner-sleeves. My only issue is exactly that, and it's the same with the only other Ear Music album I have, Yes' Songs From Tsongas - they don't include plastic inner sleeves, just those card-stock ones, or the paper ones for the Songs from Tsongas album. It would've been awesome if they'd done something like the King Crimson reissues with those poly-lined promo inner-sleeves, but I guess I'm just expecting too much. I snagged this for about CA$26, and for that price, it's a fantastic buy - in my book, it's one of the better things Yes put out in the 90s.
Can't say much more... it's absolutely fantastic in every aspect. I rushed to buy this thinking it was the MOV edition (my go-to label) and when I got it and saw the Ear Music label, I was let down. Until I hit play. No disappointment at all, it's brilliant.
