This collection truly shines, it's a fantastic session. Gene Ammons keeps that bluesy vibe going, much like Lester Young, Duke Jordan is a superb partner on the piano, and Candido's congas just tie it all together beautifully. I'm not the biggest fan of the final track, "Happy Blues", but "Can't We Be Friends" really stands out as the strongest piece.
