Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I'm so hooked on Side A that I haven't even gotten around to Side B yet. 5 stars for the incredible heat on tracks A4 and A5, plus the album's presentation and the amazing vinyl variants. Everything else is just a bonus.
The album's content is fantastic, but the pressing quality is quite disappointing. I'd love to hear a version with improved sound staging and better instrument layering. This one feels a bit muddy in its sound. I understand this is a darker, more brooding direction for SP&TBB, but I believe it could use a bit more clarity, which this pressing lacks. The poor quality control is evident in the popping and crackling sounds. They did release many color variants for this album, though.
Fidelity is just awful. Such a shame since the songs are incredible.
