Having listened to Beach House's second album of the year, I must say: IT'S A LETDOWN. Same goes for their 2015 live performance. And another thing: why does this vinyl cost about 25 Euro in Europe (for just a single record without a CD, just in a gatefold sleeve)?
Once again, a fantastic pressing. Not a single problem with this outstanding Beach House record.
Production and song arrangements are kept simple and straightforward. As per usual, the compositions are fantastic, with vocals that start off relaxed and gradually gain confidence. The laid-back vibe brings to mind Galaxy 500 and the early days of Sugar Plant. It might not be as emotionally charged or psychedelic as Depression Cherry, but it's a solid addition to Beach House's discography.
Received my copy today and wow... fantastic artwork. The vinyl is amazing.
My version is super tidy with clear, strong audio, really enjoyable to hear and honestly, among the finest albums from Beach House.
