This version is perfect. And that art book is super awesome. Really happy I purchased this!
Got a halfway decent turntable? Then this glow-in-the-dark record isn't too shabby. You'd barely notice it's a special pressing while the tunes are blasting, but when things quiet down, that's when you'll catch on. But hey, if your setup's on the "budget" side or your needle's seen better days, glow-in-the-dark vinyls might not be your jam. It's no shock that these variants can get a bit crackly and poppy.
After checking out some feedback, I opted for the black version as I was after a cleaner, more hushed experience. However, on this gold copy, the quiet parts, particularly the start of "chokehold," have pops and surface noise. I'm sharing this to see if anyone else has faced similar issues. Also, my gold version didn't include the LP-sized art booklet with the twelve drawings for each track. I'm not sure if the gold versions were supposed to come with the booklet, as it's not listed in the details. Can't wait for the upcoming reissues of "Sundowning" & "TPWBYT"!
Amazing pressing with top-notch quality. No surface noise to speak of. There was a minor click on one song, but it disappeared after a quick clean. This album is definitely in the running for my album of the year!
I've never felt this hyped for an album in my life, and it totally lived up to the hype! There's honestly something here for every music taste out there! Sleep Token has completely changed how I see music with this one.
