This album sounds absolutely incredible. The color variant is fantastic. The presentation and artwork are top-notch, I'd give it a 9/10. But can someone explain why the sleeve is so oversized? I've got some of the bigger clear dust shields that fit all my tri-folds, and this one sticks out by about a quarter inch. What gives?
Out of the three, this one's the worst for surface noise, sadly.
Without a doubt, this is the version you should go for! This pressing is absolutely BREATHTAKING! I was genuinely anticipating a letdown, but Revolver Records have truly been exceeding expectations lately. This is hands down the best sounding copy of EIA in my collection. Completely silent from beginning to end. Not a single pop or click to be heard.
I'm back to leave another review for this pressing since I reached out to support and they sent me a fresh copy from Pressing #2. The colors really pop this time around. The audio is surprisingly rich and full, and the records feel more substantial and a bit thicker than the initial pressings. While I can't eliminate all the minor pops and clicks, at least the sound isn't muffled or full of noise. The edges of the discs are still rough, as usual from RCA, but I can live with that over a poorly made record. They finally reissued this, and the discs have a nice starburst effect. They really took the feedback about this variant to heart.
Sadly, the first version of this album I got had a spot on the opening track that wouldn't stop skipping. After swapping it out, though, I haven't had any trouble. It's honestly one of the best sounding vinyl records I've ever owned!
