This is an absolutely fantastic collection and definitely worth buying if you come across it, particularly if it comes with the included booklet. There's tons of commentary, credit info, and photos inside. The sound quality of the songs is mostly quite good, with a few exceptions (some scratchy or incomplete tracks). Given when this compilation was released (1993), maybe modern restoration methods could enhance it. Over time, Bird's music has been packaged in various ways, but I haven't found a more complete packaging of these sessions in one set. It's over four hours of some of the most significant musical advancements in jazz history by a man whose creative achievements more than match his legendary status.
