  • Essential Rare Pressing

    5 out of 5 stars
    TxonwphukofkmiwxojAugust 12, 2025United States🇺🇸

This is a great pressing on the Yellow and Black Stereorama Epic label, it sounds amazing. It's becoming quite rare. Should be in every collection.

  • Timeless Funk/Soul Masterpiece

    5 out of 5 stars
    VgBigoiJuly 5, 2025United States🇺🇸

This might just be the best album from a trailblazing multi-racial funk/soul/rock band that shattered boundaries and sold millions. The title song is eternal, with an inspiring message and some phenomenal music...if only those last 30 seconds or so could extend for another five minutes! Five out of the eight tracks made it to GREATEST HITS, and six out of eight are on 1980's ANTHOLOGY, but you gotta have this album for "Sex Machine", over 13 minutes of distorted groove with a mean beat and wailing wah wahs. This is a well-mastered pressing, the percussion pops, Larry Graham's bass thumps, and the group vocals resonate. My copy is in great condition, with just a hint of surface noise.

  • Sly's Funky Audio Gem

    5 out of 5 stars
    gzoimaApril 22, 2025United States🇺🇸

The audio quality is fantastic. I believe this is a top-notch reissue/pressing. No issues here with my Rega RP3 paired with a Dynavector 10x5 cartridge, P75 phono stage feeding into a Parasound HINT6, and finally driving my ATC SCM11s. Sly's innovative funk and often overlooked guitar skills shine through remarkably, capturing that raw essence perfectly. I'm really enjoying the mix of pop, funk, and soul tracks on this classic album.

  • Italy's Clean Vinyl Gem

    5 out of 5 stars
    VgufazajlazjaApril 14, 2025United States🇺🇸

Found a super clean copy of this while on vacation in Italy. The sound quality is amazing. The bass is incredibly impactful, the separation is top-notch, and the drums have a beautiful crispness to them.

  • Timeless Album, Great Audio

The audio quality is fantastic! It's a well-made copy of a timeless album.
