Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
Why bother with "remasters" like this one? The added reverb that wasn't there in the original, plus a CLEARLY noticeable 10-second cut from around 2:17 in track 1, makes this version downright insulting. Tracks 4 and 5 sound muddy with all the reverb, while others are only slightly improved, but still end up as entirely new versions. It's like Oliver Stone keeps tinkering with his Alexander's Director's Cut—over and over. Can't someone who's not personally invested or pushing an agenda do a proper remaster that balances enhancement and preservation? The bonus track is a nice touch, but it doesn't make this a worthy replacement for the earlier versions. What a disappointment.
This production is truly delightful, with uplifting tunes and gorgeous melodies. "To The Unknown Man" stands out as my absolute favorite track.
While not as renowned as his prior RCA/Nemo Studios release (Heaven and Hell, Albedo 0.39), this remains my top pick from his RCA collection. It's not the longest album, but every track is engaging and the German pressing's quality is outstanding - minimal surface noise.
