Whether a review is positive, negative, or neutral, we always publish it. However, we screen every review to ensure it is authentic and free of profanity. These checks happen automatically, though a human occasionally steps in. We never pay for reviews.
I grabbed a copy of this album from a nearby record store for just $3. It's in amazing condition. I wasn't sure what to anticipate from this record, as there aren't any reviews here, and I didn't feel like searching too much elsewhere. I kind of thought it might be filled with gentle, slow, and warm piano tunes, given the title, expecting something a bit "lovey" and "romantic". But, to my delight, that's not what I got at all. I'm no jazz connoisseur, but this record has some of the elements I enjoy in a great jazz album. It's at times unpredictable, intense, and fast-moving, yet it never strays too far from the main theme of each track. The drumming is particularly impressive. Mouzon shows off his skills, but never overshadows the rest of the band. My personal favorites are "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" and "Essence". Really glad I picked this one up.
