September Of My Years - Frank Sinatra

Product description

In the spring of 1965, Frank Sinatra collaborated with his longtime friend and arranger Gordon Jenkins to create "September Of My Years," a timeless collection of 13 songs that encapsulate the essence of nostalgia and the passage of time. Released on August 1, 1965, under the FRANK SINATRA DIGITAL REPRISE label, this studio album spans a variety of genres, including Christmas, big band, adult standards, swing music, vocal jazz, and jazz, offering a rich and diverse listening experience.

The album opens with the title track, "The September Of My Years," a poignant ballad composed by Jimmy Van Heusen with lyrics by Sammy Cahn. This song sets the tone for the entire album, exploring themes of aging, reflection, and the bittersweet nature of memories. Other notable tracks include "How Old Am I?", "Don't Wait Too Long," and "This Is All I Ask," each delivering Sinatra's signature smooth vocals and heartfelt delivery.

"September Of My Years" is not just a collection of songs but a testament to Frank Sinatra's enduring artistry and his ability to connect with audiences on a deeply personal level. The album's duration of 52 minutes is filled with tracks that showcase Sinatra's versatility and his mastery of various musical styles. Whether you're a longtime fan of Sinatra or a newcomer to his work, this album offers a captivating journey through the highs and lows of life, all wrapped in the velvety voice of one of the greatest singers of all time.

This 2015 Reissue Remastered LP is pressed on 180g vinyl.

  • Missing Roman Numeral

    XivikAtWozzfDecember 1, 2025United States🇺🇸

I've got one that goes with nearly all of this stuff, but there's no 'V' after each '1' or 'I' (I'm not totally certain which one it is).

  • Missing "V" Key

  • Sinatra's Masterpiece Remastered

    5 out of 5 stars
    junumekihaOctober 8, 2025United States🇺🇸

Frank Sinatra truly earned his title as the 'Chairman of the Board' with this masterpiece. He poured his heart into this album, and it's no surprise it won the Grammy for 'Best Album.' Kevin Gray's remastering is simply outstanding, in my opinion, it's flawless. The vinyl pressing is top-notch, with barely any 'crackle & pop', and what little there is, is hardly noticeable. I could only pick up on it through my headphones, and even then, it was minimal. When played through my speakers, it was completely unnoticeable. Frankly, I was too captivated by the music to pay attention to any imperfections. It was a bit steep in price, but now that I own it and have listened to it, I can't say I regret the purchase. This is an exceptional record from what many consider the greatest singer/performer of all time. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their collection.

  • Frank's Flawless Grammy Winner

    5 out of 5 stars

Without a doubt, Frank is the "Chairman of the Board" on this one, giving it his all. It's no surprise that this album snatched the "Best Album" award at the Grammys. Kevin Gray did an incredible job with the remastering, and in my opinion, it's absolutely flawless. The pressing is top-notch, with barely any "crackle & pop," and what little there is, is hardly noticeable. I could mostly hear it through my headphones, but when played through my room speakers, it was completely unnoticeable. To be honest, I was too engrossed in the overall sound and performance to care much about it anyway. It was a bit steep in price, but now that I have it and have given it a listen, I don't mind as much. This is an outstanding record from what many consider the greatest singer/performer of all time. I'd definitely recommend it for any high-end collection.
