Released in 2014 under The Art of Singing label, this recording is a testament to Schillings' enduring legacy in the realm of classical music.

"Mona Lisa," Op. 31, is a two-act opera that unfolds over nearly two hours, immersing the listener in a tale of intrigue, passion, and mystery. The opera is brought to life by a stellar cast of vocalists and the Berlin Opera Orchestra, conducted by the esteemed Robert Heger. The opera's libretto, based on a play by Ludwig Fulda, weaves a complex web of relationships and secrets, all centered around the enigmatic figure of Mona Lisa. The music, characterized by its lush harmonies and vivid orchestration, complements the dramatic action and brings depth to the characters' inner lives. From the lively carnival scene in Act I to the tense confrontations in Act II, each moment is crafted with a keen sense of drama and musical sophistication.
