This disc sounds fantastic, with Wally's name carved in the deadwax area, words words.
Oh boy, this is some gorgeous music. The full, rich sound and the expertly recorded piano just make it even better. There's a great mix of standards and originals, all performed solo by one of the last true greats of jazz piano. In my view, he shines brightest when he's left to wander and explore, without drums and bass holding him back. You just know "Lazy Bird" is going to be fantastic, so give it a listen! He really shows off his stride on "Don't Blame Me", and "Yesterday's" is an incredible opener. The pressing is solid, and the record sounds so full and amazing. 4.5 stars, wow.
