Product description

Dive into the intricate world of Queensrÿche with "Operation: Mindcrime II," the highly anticipated sequel to their iconic 1988 concept album. Released in 2006, this progressive metal masterpiece picks up where the original left off, continuing the gripping story of Nikki, a drug-addicted political revolutionary turned assassin. With a running time of just under an hour, this album is a journey through the complex narrative and powerful music that Queensrÿche is known for.

Produced by Jason Slater, "Operation: Mindcrime II" marks a significant milestone as the band's first album under his direction. The tracklist is a rollercoaster of intense moments and reflective interludes, featuring standout songs like "Convict," "One Foot in Hell," and "The Chase." Each song is meticulously crafted, showcasing the band's signature blend of progressive metal, glam metal, and hard rock elements.

The album's narrative depth is as compelling as its musical prowess. Fans of the original will appreciate how "Operation: Mindcrime II" seamlessly builds upon the existing storyline, offering a fresh perspective while staying true to the original's themes of political intrigue and personal struggle. The band's musicianship is on full display, with intricate arrangements and powerful performances that highlight their evolution over the years.

"Operation: Mindcrime II" is not just a sequel; it's a testament to Queensrÿche's enduring legacy in the progressive metal genre. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the band's music, this album offers a rich and rewarding listening experience. The album's release date varies slightly by region, with international releases on March 31, 2006, and a U.S. release on April 4, 2006, ensuring that fans worldwide could dive into this epic continuation of the Mindcrime saga.

This 2023 Limited Edition 2LP set is pressed on Red vinyl.

  • Disappointing Friday Music Album

Avoid purchasing this album. My copy arrived with a lot of junk on the records. The records are in a paper sleeve. The artwork seems like a cheap knockoff. There are no credits inside. They charged $65.00 for this trash. Don't buy anything from Friday Music.

  • RSD Cash Grab Cover Flop

    4 out of 5 stars
    vaubhgwruaybJune 13, 2025United States🇺🇸

It sounds real good on my setup, but that cover is pure junk, 63 bucks is ridiculous, yet another RSD cash grab, real letdown

  • Cash Grab Rip-Off

    1 out of 5 stars
    wuamnebvpoihuulieApril 30, 2024United States🇺🇸

As another user mentioned, this is just a blatant cash grab. They even used those cheap paper sleeves! I regret purchasing it. Both records had dirt on every side. The gatefold is basic, there are no credits, nothing unique, and yet it costs $65.00! What a rip-off!
