Product description

Sergei Nakariakov's "No Limit," released in 2000 under Warner Classics, is a captivating journey through the world of classical music, showcasing the extraordinary talent of one of the most virtuosic trumpeters of our time. This album is a testament to Nakariakov's exceptional skill and versatility, featuring a diverse range of compositions expertly arranged for trumpet and orchestra.

The album opens with Saint-Saëns' "Introduction and Rondo capriccioso," a piece originally written for violin but masterfully adapted by Nakariakov for trumpet. This is followed by Tchaikovsky's "Andante cantabile," arranged for flugelhorn, and a series of variations from Tchaikovsky's "Variations on a Rococo Theme," each variation showcasing Nakariakov's technical prowess and expressive depth. The album also includes Bruch's "Canzone," Massenet's "Méditation" from "Thaïs," and Gershwin's iconic "Rhapsody in Blue," all arranged for trumpet and orchestra.

Nakariakov is accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy, delivering a performance that is both powerful and nuanced. The album's duration is just over an hour, providing a rich and immersive listening experience. "No Limit" is a celebration of classical music, reimagined through the brilliance of Sergei Nakariakov's trumpet.
