Man, this album is so quiet, perfect for late-night listens. The sound quality is awesome. It's not super clear, but hey, that's just Green Day's style. On the calmer tracks, the guitar really stands out.
I'd be overjoyed to purchase an additional copy of the Live in Philly LP should anyone attempt to split up their box set.
Definitely a must-have for any collection. I've always been a huge fan of this album; every one of the 18 tracks blends together flawlessly, making it, in my opinion, the quintessential Green Day album and their hardest-rocking release. I was thrilled when they started selling it again because I'd been searching for a copy. While I usually prefer black vinyl, the yellow one looks really damn good. The first LP has a tiny chip on the edge, and there's some white stuff that might be glue—I'm not sure—it's in a few spots but only affects playback at the start of "Nice Guys Finish Last." I don't have a cleaner and I'm not confident enough to try methods that don't involve some high-end gear like a good brush and solution, but I'm sure a cleaning would fix it no problem. The mix sounds incredible; I first heard it on CD years ago, but I've rediscovered it now. It's way more in-your-face, with more aggressive guitars. It's really pleasant. I've always liked this album cover; it's pretty basic but looks awesome. Probably the most underrated Green Day album. Jinx Hashing, Uptight, All—these standout tracks sound surprisingly better than the rest, audibly.
it could've been mastered a tad better, but it's not bad at all, likely the best vinyl version available, so that's a plus, for being colored and lightweight, enough effort was made to avoid a noisy surface, i can at least give it that, it's neat when certain details stand out, i just feel the cymbals could've been better captured, apart from that it's really good in almost every aspect
The album is completely silent, not a single pop or crackle to be found. Plus, it sounds fantastic!
