One of the poorest sounding SACDs in my collection, what a disappointment, the 5.1 mix is utterly broken and the stereo 'wall of sound' lacks any dynamics. The centre channel is out of phase, improperly leveled, and just plain awful. MFSL or analogue productions should really give this a proper overhaul. I'm keeping it, but I never play it - it's just too painful to listen to.
Sony has completely messed up Oasis's CD collection. The tracks are overly squashed; it's like listening to a flat, lifeless wall of sound. Every instrument and vocal is jammed in there with no regard for quality. It's disappointing that no effort was made for a proper remaster.
This press is an amazing chaotic masterpiece and I wouldn't have it any other way. The ultimate choice. Everything's turned up to max, Liam's vocals are right out there, making them even more badass. Absolutely fantastic.
Boring and lifeless, no low end at all. Complete scam and a total waste of cash.
The one I've got is super clean, sounds great. Yeah, it's "saturated", but it's not an audiophile problem for me. No W+F troubles here. I'm getting strong, clear, and consistent stereo sound. It's a nice album to have on cassette and seems like a good copy is hard to come by.
