Newer albums should totally be pressed at 45RPM - hands down, one of the best sounding records I've got, no hiss and the dynamics are insane. Picked mine up late night at the Cardiff shop and had it sent to my place, but the Post folks just chucked it in a flimsy plastic bag, no safeguarding. Suffice to say, it got banged up in transit, but I swapped it out at the Birmingham fan shop, so major props to the retail crew for that!
Believe it or not, not every store gave me the art print at the counter! I was shocked when I saw they weren't even sealed in there! Had to go to EBay to find one instead!
While this might not be my top pick from Oasis, it's got some serious vibes, particularly in this version. They've pressed it at 45RPM, just like the other releases of this album, delivering top-notch, high-quality sound. It's exactly what you'd want. I only wish more artists would take a leaf out of their book with this one. The only downside to this release is that, despite the really cool printed inner sleeves, the records are covered in static and dust from the factory. It's not a huge deal to fix, but it could've been avoided if they'd used anti-static sleeves.
The copy I got is pretty awesome. I didn't run into any problems with it, and the sound quality is crisp and nice. I'd say my original still tops it, but this one's pretty close.
