Stumbling upon this album was a definite highlight during my last trip to Amsterdam’s renowned Concerto. The vinyl sounds incredible, and the music, as always, is simply amazing. Don’t miss out, grab it now!

Once again, Music On Vinyl has delivered a gem, but the packaging and extra content for such an iconic release is, frankly, a tad disappointing. I picked this up after hearing my coworker's CD, which included a booklet filled with detailed notes, so I was expecting something similar with the vinyl version. MOV does sometimes take shortcuts to keep costs down, but this album really deserved more care, like a gate-fold at the very least, or even just an insert with some background on the album. (Or, at least, a single jacket made from tougher, more durable cardboard.) It's a historic jazz record, and in my opinion, it deserved a more fitting presentation. Fortunately, the sound quality is excellent, with top-notch mastering, pressed at Optimal in Germany. I snagged it during Amazon's 25% off sale, so I'm pretty thrilled about that. Highly recommend it.
I'm experiencing this album for the first time as a vinyl owner, so I can't compare it to the CD version. The music and production quality are absolutely top-notch! It's recorded brilliantly, and Bill truly shines in this trio format. However, the pressing isn't flawless. There are a couple of tracks with noticeable ticks. They're brief and only appear at the start of a few songs, but they're not too distracting. All in all, I'm really happy to have this record in my collection.
