His career spanned a diverse range of genres, including swing music, jazz, and big band, showcasing his versatility and musical prowess. Allen's dynamic playing and distinctive voice made him a standout figure in the jazz world. With a career that bridged traditional New Orleans jazz and early experimentalism, Henry "Red" Allen left an indelible mark on the music scene, captivating audiences until his passing on April 17, 1967, in New York City.
