The tunes are alright. Nothing special, just average. The whole album’s pretty average too.
To my ears, it's fantastic; super punchy and full of energy! The vinyl is perfectly flat, dead quiet, and quite clean (no poly here).
I'm a bit puzzled, my version of this comes in a jewel case, has anyone got any extra details about this?
This one's completely quiet. The poly-insert on mine is a nice touch (I'm really pleased about that). 'Perfect Situation' is the remastered cut, and it's the only track on my copy with any noticeable surface noise – just a couple of quick pops that you could easily edit out with Audacity or similar software. It does sound a bit squashed, mastered pretty loud, and when I ripped my copy, every song just appeared as a solid block of audio. It's not going to knock your socks off, but it's definitely worth your time and cash. A solid four-star release, for sure.
This isn't Weezer's best work, but it's certainly an album that'll grow on you.
