Lord Huron has just dropped an amazing new album! I'm absolutely loving every song on this stellar release. The male vocals are hauntingly beautiful, and the production is top-notch. Does anyone happen to know if there will be more vinyl LP versions released with different colored vinyls?
This is the album of the year, and the pressing is the best too. (Plus, the sleeves remind me of vanilla scent)
I've listened to this album three times now, and I'm still waiting for it to start? It's slow, tame, and just plain boring. There's no energy or spark here, it's so different from what Lord Huron usually puts out. I get the themes and Tubbs and all that, but this is definitely their worst album. No question about it.
This vinyl release is absolutely stunning. However, the audio quality isn't quite up to par. My copy has some surface noise throughout most tracks, but Side D is particularly bad. There's a lot of crackles and pops on it. The gatefold is fantastic though, made from really thick cardstock. The inner sleeves are much thinner, and one of them came ripped.
I absolutely love this album, it's a must for any collection!
