Absolutely adore this early Scorpions stuff. It's quite jazzy in parts... and this one's out on that electronic German label, Brain...
Incredible album! This Japanese version is stunning! The awesome artwork captures the band perfectly from that era and the OBI is a must-have!
Awesome Album. 3 Stars? Seriously. Awesome Psych Album. Loads of Jokers in this one!
I own two copies of this edition, so I can confirm it's real. The once glossy lamination has mostly peeled away, leaving behind some shiny spots, but there's a second, smoother, matte layer underneath, still counting as lamination. I also have the (more frequent) unlaminated version, and the difference between the two covers is noticeable, although the discs inside seem to be the same.
This vinyl record is quite weighty (172 g.) and flat. What an exceptional album for the band! They never quite captured that magic again. It's a fantastic album with a truly satisfying sound. Here, you've got a blend of jazz, blues, and psychedelic rock. It was right after this album that I started getting into jazz.
