Without a doubt, this is an outstanding vinyl pressing! The sleeve is a bit snug for 3 heavyweight records. The soundstage is expansive, vocals are vibrant, and the bass is on the heavier side...all in all, an incredible vinyl that makes you feel like you're at the concert, a real treasure!
The records are alright. They're decent and smooth. But the recording quality is terrible. I reckon ABBA fans were so eager to enjoy it that they ended up thinking it's a fantastic release, but it's not. It's like the microphone was placed in the crowd or something. The singing is awful. I guess people assume this is how a live album should sound. It's not. What a pity for such an amazing band.
Terrible vinyl sound, really bad. Weird vocals, squashed soundstage, it's like CD sound pressed on vinyl. Definitely no separate analog mastering was done. Such a shame. Not good for vinyl enthusiasts.
Has anyone managed to get a decent copy of this 3LP vinyl set? It seems like Polar / Universal should be offering replacements to all of us. Any updates on that? The artwork and sleeve with all the photos are good, but the pressing is completely messed up.
Fantastic artwork but awful audio. No range and hushed noise from the Hi-Hats. Universal can't produce records. Selling this is rude.
