These reissues truly hit the mark, just like others have mentioned. The designer went the extra mile, tracking down the original photos from the '97 and '98 sessions instead of just enlarging the CD covers, which seems to be the go-to move these days when vinyl artwork is MIA or misplaced. This approach uncovers a ton of detail I'd never spotted before. The inner sleeves and text match the CD and cassette versions perfectly, and the images look stunning at this scale. The only tweak is that a couple of track times have been fixed compared to the original artwork. The records are pressed flat and centered. Whoever oversaw this project absolutely nailed it. It's not something we should have to celebrate, but honestly, it's impressive!
Life Through a Lens and I've Been Expecting You are both fantastic albums, but the audio quality is disappointing given that they've been remastered at Abbey Road Studios - I've Been Expecting Better! The cover art is awesome :) All things considered, I can't give more than 3 stars :(
This isn't a fantastic pressing, but it's not bad either. On my top-notch system, it sounds pretty good.
