Willie Nelson's never sounded like this before! This fantastic album truly displays Willie's talent for taking songs and making them uniquely his own. Starting with the very first track, it's clear that Willie is like a fine wine, only getting better as time goes by. The production is top-notch. The vinyl records are gorgeous and super quiet. The cover art is stunning too. This is definitely an album I'll be playing over and over.
This is a true gem with fantastic pressing and audio quality. I'd have been thrilled to have a gatefold, but apart from that, it's a brilliant album.
Kudos to the genius who decided to house the vinyl in its own sleeve, kept apart from the printed inner sleeves. It's a tiny detail that goes a long way in keeping the record in tip-top shape, I just wish this was a more widespread practice!
Willie Nelson has truly outdone himself with this stunning and captivating new album. While it's primarily a collection of covers, Willie infuses each track with his unique touch, making them even more emotionally resonant. I never imagined the Flaming Lips' "Do You Realize??" could be rendered more poignant than the original, but Willie's version achieves just that! His interpretation of Neil Young's "Broken Arrow" is simply breathtaking, drawing out an even deeper emotional core from the song. At 91 years young, we're incredibly fortunate to still receive such a remarkable gift from him. Keep the music coming, and here's to many more years of Willie Nelson!
While I'd like to see gatefolds for double LPs, that's really my sole complaint. The artwork is even more impressive in real life, and the vinyl itself is quite striking. I'm pleased with the color and swirl. The sound quality is excellent, with hardly any hiss. As for the music, it's absolutely brilliant. Yet another fantastic release from Willie.
