Wow, what an awesome album! It's got that classic, pure analog sound. I guess I was hoping for a tad more, maybe it's the hype surrounding it ("If you only buy one blues record, make it this one", etc.), or perhaps I'm just not accustomed to listening to vintage blues vinyls. Plus, I'm currently using a modern stereo system. I bet it would sound even better on an old-school mono setup. One day, for sure.
Just wanna back up what others have said. Gets way too loud in certain parts, sounds real distorted like your speakers are on the fritz.
The songs on this record are pretty good, but there seems to be an issue with the production or maybe I just got a faulty one. I bought it brand new, but it keeps skipping tracks and making weird static noises for no apparent reason.
Blues albums don't get any better than this! It's a fantastic bunch of tunes. Grab it if you have the chance!
