  • Amazing Music, Poor Quality

    3 out of 5 stars
    GabjHizqDecember 15, 2024United States🇺🇸

Honestly, NOTHING at all to complain about the music. It's phenomenal. I rated this three stars due to the state it arrived in. The pressing plant is likely the worst I've come across. There's literally a BURN MARK from a second sticker in the run-out groove. Scratches and dents on the other side's run-out groove too. The inner sleeve was torn. If this was pressed elsewhere with REAL quality control, it'd be fantastic. Fortunately, I had an MP3 of the album to listen to. Music = AMAZING Pressing/Quality Control = TOTALLY TERRIBLE

  • Brief but Enjoyable Tunes

    4 out of 5 stars
    XpRajsewYaknaeqJuly 6, 2024United States🇺🇸

The tunes on this album are absolutely amazing, though it's a bit brief. The pressing is decent, but I wish it were quieter. It's not the highest fidelity recording out there, but it's still a enjoyable listen.

  • Live Tapestry Shines Despite Flaws

    5 out of 5 stars
    fnunata5822May 10, 2024United States🇺🇸

The live recording and performance are fantastic. Carole's singing is spot on, and the instrumentation is minimal. Many tracks feature just Carole and the piano, which is absolutely beautiful. I always appreciate live performances where the artist chimes in between songs. It gives you a sense of who they are. Carole doesn't talk much in between tracks, but it's enough to give you a glimpse into her personality. One more thing about the performance—I'm not sure if I prefer this live set over the studio version, but I think I do.The packaging is alright. The image on the front cover could use a higher resolution; it gives it a bootleg vibe, in my opinion. The inner sleeve is really nice, with credits and photos. It's smooth and glossy, not the cheap paper you sometimes see. It's still paper, though, so I've put mine in a MoFi sleeve, but at least it's not that rough stuff that scratches the vinyl during shipping.A download card is included to stream the music later, which is great because I think this is the only way to get a digital version. The mastering is excellent, but the vinyl production is subpar. The edge of the record could double as a circular saw blade, it's that rough. There's a noticeable amount of dish, which I've come to expect from RSD releases. I don't know why, but my RSD records have been dished the last couple of years. It's not a big deal with a record clamp, but it's worth mentioning. One good thing is that they only used half of the record and kept the label area clear. It looks like a 45RPM at first glance but is actually 33RPM with four tracks on each side. Surface noise is minimal on the first spin. I always clean my albums before playing them for better clarity. The noise is infrequent and not easily heard, but I can't say it's as quiet as my MoFi pressings.I really like this pressing. I wish it had been treated better in the manufacturing process, but no regrets here. It sounds amazing, and I'm torn on which pressing I prefer. I have the MoFi 33RPM of Tapestry, but right now, I prefer listening to this live performance. Time will tell if I continue to feel that way. I recommend it if you're a fan of Tapestry.

  • New Unit, Noise Issues

    5 out of 5 stars
    radtbudgexdMarch 14, 2024United States🇺🇸

The audio quality and dynamics are fantastic. But, there's noticeable rumble and other background noises such as ticks. My unit was brand new and still sealed.

  • Affordable Pressing with Taylor

    4 out of 5 stars
    fonpqwlavxfFebruary 21, 2024United States🇺🇸

I concur with the previous comment that this one feels a tad flat, the clapping almost sounds added later. But all in all, it's a fantastic pressing for the cost. James Taylor joins in on acoustic guitar for So Far Away.
