Picked up a newer edition...the runoffs are identical, but it's 150g. Still, it's an incredibly poor pressing - I can't recall hearing this much static on a fresh record before, even after giving it a spin on my spin clean. Steer clear!
It's hard to find anything superior to this. Reverend Green truly shines here.
Man, this is one funky, thick record… Reverend's vocals are on point! Go snag a clean copy of this gem ASAP.

IF YOU ASK ME, CALL ME is the top Al Green album for me, and I'M STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU feels like a warm-up for that classic. Honestly, you could grab any of the six records Green dropped from 1971 to 1974 and you'd be more than happy. He was on a serious roll. This Shelley pressing has a lively, punchy sound, and my copy plays smooth with just a bit of light surface noise here and there. Solid stuff.
