Product description

Immerse yourself in the profound and introspective world of Michel Richard Delalande's "De Profundis," a masterful interpretation of Psalm 129, brought to life by the exceptional talents of Friederike Sailer, the Choeurs de Radio Stuttgart, and the Orchestre Pro Musica de Stuttgart. Released on April 17, 2015, under the Classico Ivano label, this album is a testament to the enduring power of minimalism in classical music.

Spanning just over 41 minutes, this album is a journey through the depths of human emotion and spiritual reflection. Delalande's composition is a intricate tapestry of choral and orchestral elements, showcasing the stunning vocal prowess of the choir and the delicate precision of the orchestra. The album's title track, "De Profundis," sets the tone with its hauntingly beautiful choral work, while pieces like "Quia apud te propitiatio" and "Sustinuit anima mea" highlight the dynamic interplay between soloists and the ensemble.

The minimalist genre is beautifully represented here, with Delalande's work demonstrating a mastery of simplicity and subtlety. Each note is carefully placed, creating a sense of depth and resonance that is both meditative and deeply moving. The album's shorter tracks, such as "Quia apud dominum" and "Et ipse redimet Israel," serve as poignant interludes, adding to the overall cohesion and impact of the piece.

This album is not just a collection of tracks but a cohesive musical experience that invites you to pause and reflect. Whether you are a seasoned classical music enthusiast or a newcomer to the genre, "De Profundis" offers a rich and rewarding listening experience that highlights the timeless beauty of Delalande's composition and the exceptional skill of the performers.
