An album as great as Paris 1919, and 'Fear Is A Man's Best Friend' stands among his finest tracks.
I reckon this version has a better sound compared to that pink rimmed original Island release
This pressing is really quite good. The only issue with my copy is some peak distortion on the intro piano chords of 'Fear Is A Man's Best Friend.' It's a bit picky, but it's the first thing you notice when you put the needle down. There's some light noise throughout the rest of the record, but it's still an enjoyable listen. The album sounds great overall.
I was deciding between different pressings and chose this one...Wow, it's incredible!!!
In my opinion, this is Cale's finest solo work, and the sound quality of this pressing is fantastic. Cale, Manzanera, and Eno all deliver their best performances here.
