This isn't the finest pressing. It might've benefited from a remaster. It's quite loud in sections and lacks dynamics, plus mine has a bunch of pops, especially on side B. For tracks like "Hello?" that are super quiet, it's really distracting.
Warped pretty bad but still works. The silver color on this pressing is really nice though.
This album is fantastic and the audio quality is pretty good with a nice flat pressing. Sadly, two copies I've received have been plagued by constant, harsh crackling, especially on side one, which totally wrecks the listening experience. Even after a good wet clean on the vacuum machine, the noise doesn't disappear. Guess it's time to send it back!
The black vinyl edition is absolutely flawless, pressed by Memphis Record Pressing. It's packed with deep bass. The mastering and pressing are top-notch. I'm baffled why anyone would opt for the splatter versions when they consistently sound inferior.
I'm on my second copy of this album since the first one was a total disappointment. The sound quality on this one is fantastic, and I'm really digging the packaging too. I'm so happy I gave it another shot and would definitely suggest this version if you're looking to add Fallen to your collection.
