Courteeners - Falcon (LP)

"Falcon," the second studio album by the Courteeners, is a testament to the band's evolution and growth since their debut. Released on February 22, 2010, through A&M Records, this 49-minute indie and Madchester-infused record showcases the Manchester quartet's knack for crafting catchy, anthemic tracks that resonate with a wide audience. The album, which reached number 6 in the UK Album Chart, was born out of the band's experiences touring the United States in support of their debut album, "St. Jude." The songs on "Falcon" were written on the road and recorded at ICP Studios in Brussels, Belgium, with producer Ed Buller.

Liam Fray, the band's frontman, delivers a collection of songs that highlight his personal and relatable lyrics, as well as his passionate songwriting. The album kicks off with the energetic "The Opener" and includes standout tracks like "Cross My Heart & Hope to Fly," "Sycophant," and the reflective "The Rest of the World Has Gone Home." The album also features the hit single "You Overdid It Doll," which became a fan favorite.
