JL Ponty's finest work, a true masterpiece of music! It's a must-listen for any music enthusiast, especially Enigmatic Ocean Part I-IV, which is absolutely phenomenal.
The sound quality of this Monarch edition is truly remarkable. The way each instrument is distinctly heard is superb.
Joe did a solid job with this remaster. There wasn't much that needed tweaking, but he did push the bass guitar forward a bit and gave the mids a slight boost. If you're into the original, this might not feel like a massive upgrade. My copy was pretty beat up after 47 years of love, so it's great to have a fresh version again. It's surprisingly quiet for a Friday Music release. After a dry clean and wipe, there's hardly any surface noise. Just a couple of tiny pops that'll likely vanish on the next spin. It's as flat as a pancake and has a cool color. I got this from Experience Vinyl, and it came in a poly outer with no shrinkwrap or hype sticker. Just a plain white poly-lined paper inner and no liner notes. The jacket's sturdy and looks alright, but the colors are a bit too intense. If Friday keeps remastering more JLP records and they sound as good as this, I'll be more than happy to hand over more of my cash. 💴⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
