Product description

"Echoes from Ugarit" is a captivating neoclassical album by the renowned composer and pianist Malek Jandali, released in 2009. This studio album is a testament to Jandali's musical prowess, featuring his original compositions performed with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra under the skilled conduction of Sergey Kondrashev. Recorded in Moscow, the album spans a concise yet impactful 42 minutes, with eight tracks that weave a tapestry of cultural resonance and artistic brilliance.

The album's title track, "Echoes from Ugarit," draws inspiration from the ancient city of Ugarit, known for its significant historical and cultural heritage. Jandali's compositions blend traditional and contemporary elements, creating a sound that is both timeless and innovative. Each piece, from the evocative "Andalus" to the serene "Piano Dream," showcases Jandali's ability to convey deep emotional and cultural narratives through his music.

"Echoes from Ugarit" is not just a collection of songs but a journey through Jandali's artistic vision, reflecting his Syrian roots and his experiences as a global musician. The album's intricate orchestrations and Jandali's virtuosic piano playing make it a standout work in the neoclassical genre. Whether you're a fan of classical music or looking to explore new sounds, this album offers a rich and rewarding listening experience.
