• Flawless Sound, Minor Pop Issue

  I picked this up second-hand, and I'm thrilled to say the sound quality is flawless and the color is spot on! However, during "the grants" track, there are some loud pops. From what I've gathered, this seems to be a common issue with this particular pressing. That being said, every other song is absolutely pristine, no pops or background noise whatsoever. I'd suggest buying it new from Amazon, just to avoid any potential pops you might encounter too:)

  There's a bit of surface noise here and there, but don't let that ruin it for ya, the album still sounds real nice and won't take away from the gorgeous music. Also, I'm diggin' the packaging, the color's real sweet too.

  Absolutely terrible!! I've been through three copies of this record, and each one was awful. Lots of noise, tons of crackles, and skips. I tried cleaning them all with my Projekt cleaner, but it didn't help at all. I should've known better, though, since on the Hoffman music forum, Lana vinyl is always getting trashed. STAY AWAY FROM IT LIKE IT'S THE PLAGUE!!

• Cassette Collection: Raw, Textured Listen

  This album is an absolute must-have on cassette! Every version is fantastic, and I'm thrilled she went with different colored cassettes, covers, and even j-card inserts, just like vinyl records. It's an amazing collection overall! I will say, though, that all the variants have a bit of hiss in the background. I personally adore it; I think it sounds perfect with tracks like A&W, the interludes, and Tunnel. If you're after crystal-clear quality, while it's still good, there are better options out there. But if you're looking for a more textured and raw listening experience, these cassettes are a fantastic way to enjoy the album! Some variants are also still up for grabs online on the official Polydor site and Lana's international sites. A quick google search and you'll find them in no time!

• Disappointing Record Quality Issues

  I regretfully have to join the group of people let down by the pressing quality of this record. Side A is clean, while sides C and D are pretty good, not perfect, but just okay. However, side B has a lot of static on mine, particularly during "Candy Necklace." It's a shame the Judah Smith interlude wasn't kept, as the worst of the noise would have landed there instead. My copy isn't completely terrible, but it could be so much better, and there's no excuse for these albums, all the variants, not to be. My green vinyl indie edition is significantly better than this and will be the one I play, but it's still not great.
