  • Modern Sound, Minor Vinyl Flaws

    5 out of 5 stars
    mqivcz.gahboekzoNovember 6, 2025United States🇺🇸

There are a few minor issues on the vinyl, like some light, repetitive low-frequency pops, but they're not a big deal. I think my new preamp with a subsonic filter should sort them out. Apart from that, it's a pretty good pressing with no clicks. The volume is on the lower side, as I expected, just like the last three Orb albums. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Rendall's mastering. I'd compare it to their Kompakt, Malicious Damage releases, and especially the Island Records stuff. It's got that very modern, electronic, plastic sound. The artwork is just okay, Mr. Coles could've done better. It reminds me a bit of Further Adventures from 2016. The album itself is familiar territory, but the disco track is a nice surprise. The ambient tracks aren't super emotional, but they flow nicely. Clearly, the opening track is the standout. The color is nice, I'm happy with it.

  • Rich, crisp, non-stop listening pleasure

    5 out of 5 stars
    rwojwcut4098October 31, 2025United Kingdom🇬🇧

Awesome quality, it sounds rich and crisp. The artwork's pretty cool too! Been playing this album non-stop for the last few weeks, I reckon I enjoy it a tad more than Prism.

  • Pressing Quality: Vinyl vs Prism

Awaiting my order, could you share thoughts on the pressing quality? Is it superior to Prism?

  • Baraka on Hollway Brooch EP

    5 out of 5 stars

Baraka (Version) initially appeared on the RSD drop The Hollway Brooch E.P. 12”.

  • Orb's Finest Work Yet

    4 out of 5 stars
    RwthlihdikakanehOctober 16, 2025United States🇺🇸

The Orb has returned! I'm not sure if they ever left, but this is their finest work yet. They stick close to their usual sound, with several tracks feeling like follow-ups to their iconic classics, yet none of them are mere rehashes. The AI teasers they shared on social media had me concerned, and the album cover is downright hideous. However, I think the cover was intended as a joke, and not one track sounds like it was produced by a heartless machine. I've had this album on repeat for an entire weekend and still can't get enough of it. This album should delight longtime fans and serve as a great introduction for new listeners.
