I really wish I had checked the reviews before buying this. It's such a letdown! The sound is all mixed up and it's like the best parts of these songs are lost. Americano was especially terrible! It got stuck and kept repeating the same part again and again, I thought it was stuck in a loop but no, it's just a bad record.
I absolutely adore this album, but it's such a shame that there's no booklet included. The pictures on the CD are gorgeous, and I'd really love to have a larger version of those.
This release feels like a missed chance and a tad unnecessary. Apart from a covers EP, there's nothing fresh to offer, and let's be honest, who wants to listen to covers more than once? Additionally, one of the spine artworks is blank for some strange reason. They could've at least thrown in some remixes or even unreleased tracks. Not something you'd need to buy unless you're a dedicated collector.
I received my order today, and it sounds fantastic. The bass is incredibly powerful, and both discs share the same hue and transparency.
