Boris has this way of drawing you in when they invest time in developing a theme, and you just can't resist going along for the ride. Side A might be a simpler piece compared to some of their other work, but it's a fantastic showcase of how their improvisation can create an atmosphere that sneaks up on you, gently pulls you in, then catches you off guard with perfectly timed lyrics and some killer guitar moments, all culminating in a wall of noise that just won't quit. Side B kicks off with a faster, almost classic heavy rock vibe, complete with some slick cock rock guitar, before settling into the usual Boris back-and-forth of screaming vocals and instrumental replies. Then, just when you think you've got it figured out, they throw in some unexpected twists on side B—par for the course for Boris, really. It's a very solid album, though maybe not quite as mind-blowing as their absolute best.

OMG this album is amazing, I'm totally in love with it! I haven't listened to much Boris yet but I am SO into this album!!!! It would've been awesome if feedbacker 3 didn't change the vibe so much, y'know? It would've been cooler if it was all consistent. Hope that makes sense!!!!
