This album was absolutely amazing, just like their first three LPs before they sold out. It's such a shame to see how money can change people, the mighty have truly fallen.

I'm all about giving artists creative freedom, but the Black Eyed Peas, seriously...They kicked off with some awesome, laid-back live Hip Hop, then shifted towards (still enjoyable) Pop Rap, before morphing into an EDM group that seemed to get worse with each track, then circled back to genuine Hip Hop, but by then, nobody was buying what they were selling, so here we are again with subpar dance pop. That said, this album is a fantastic first step. It's not exactly revolutionary, but it's just some really well-crafted rap music, with solid beats and smooth rhymes and hooks. If you're too young to recall when BEP were actually a big deal in the scene and even considered cool, you gotta check out this album and experience their late 90s smoothness for yourself.
Unbelievable how low the price is for these albums. Anyone from LA who was raised on underground hip hop knows this is a timeless piece... before the Peas became globally famous. The audio quality here is FLAWLESS. The live band mixed with killer samples is spot on...vinyl sounds incredible. This album has aged better than most from that era. I'm genuinely enjoying it more now than when it first dropped, which is saying something. This album has never sounded this good...grab it while it's affordable, you'll be glad you did.
