I got a quiet pressing, guess it's just pot luck. It's dead flat, perfectly centered, and has no surface hiss. I gave it an ultrasonic bath and it sounds amazing, which is great because this is one of my top A. Bird albums. I just wish I had a better copy of Noble Beast, as that one's got some random crackles even after a good clean.
Amazing album! Not a bad pressing at all. The masters sound identical to the CD. Only a couple of non-fill issues (thankfully just between tracks A1-A2 and A3-A4). Slightly bent and with a few light pops. The packaging is quite basic: light vinyl, cardboard box, glossy printed cardboard inner sleeve (no poly lining), and a lyric sheet. The music itself is probably my favorite since the production of Eggs.
My one works amazingly well. It's a letdown to read about others having issues. What's up with the quality check?
This is an amazing recording with a superb pressing. It's incredibly quiet and has a fantastic dynamic range.
The audio quality is fantastic, but my copy has an issue. I can detect a constant hiss running through the entire record.
