Un album al lui Santana din mijlocul anilor '70, care se distinge prin piese de calitate și o muzică complexă și multi-instrumentală, caracteristică trupei. Se evidențiază celebrul cântec Europa, dar și alte compoziții, în special Gitano, stilul latino rock fiind puternic influențat de note de jazz, pe multe dintre ele. Chitara lui Carlos Santana, instrumentele variate de percuție și o secție ritmică foarte bine susținută, fac din acest disc o nouă performanță discografică. Ascultați-l! Eu îl notez cu 8,70.
At last, I've discovered the CD version of the AMIGOS album featuring "Dance Sister Dance (Baila Mi Hermana)" with the timbales kicking off the track just right.
Once again, Mobile Fidelity has delivered a fantastic Santana experience. I've just picked up "Welcome" and "Borboletta" from Speakers Corner, and while these records sound great, I'm curious if MFSL has any intentions to release these two as well? The 33RPM version of "Amigos" is incredibly quiet, with no bothersome pops or clicks after a thorough cleaning and a fresh anti-static inner sleeve. The cover art and inner gatefold look absolutely stunning in this MFSL release, and if you can afford to collect all of these Santana reissues, don't hesitate—you'll be thrilled with your purchase.
